WHY WADE RUSSELL

An Austin criminal lawyer, Wade Russell has extensive experience in all types of criminal cases:   as an Assistant County Attorney prosecuting DWI and Assault cases; as an Assistant District Attorney prosecuting every type of felony case, as well as white collar crime, and motor fuels tax fraud.

Wade Russell has practiced criminal law since 1984, starting as a prosecutor in the Travis County Attorney’s Office.  After working in the New Mexico Public Defender’s Office and the Travis County District Attorney’s Office, he began his private criminal defense practice practice in 1994. Wade Russell has defended a wide variety of felony and misdemeanor charges.  He has won many cases on appeal, either as the trial lawyer who found and litigated the legal issue in court, or as the lawyer appealing the case himself.

Board Certified in 2003, he is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.  Mr. Russell has a proven track record of success as a criminal defense lawyer who handles all types of cases.
